Prayer : This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the records of the impugned FIR in Crime No.02 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police dated 23.01.2020 and quash the same against the petitioner alone.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., to call for the records relating to the FIR in Crime No.02 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police and quash the same.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation is almost completed and they are going to file a charge sheet shortly before the jurisdictional Court.

3. It is seen from the records that FIR came to be registered on 23.01.2020 and that the petitioner has come forward with the above application for quashing the FIR, after the lapse of two years.

4. Moreover, since the respondent police has almost completed the investigation and they were going to file a charge sheet shortly, this Court is not inclined to quash the FIR at this stage.

5. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The respondent police is directed to lay the charge sheet within a period of three months from today (02.09.2022) and on such filing, the petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate proceedings in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
