ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the festival with Villisai, Sound and light system, which is scheduled to be held from 11.08.2022 to 12.08.2022 at Arulmigu Madasamy Temple, Kulaiyanery, Veerakeralam Pudur Taluk, Tenkasi District. 2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the President of the Arulmigu Madasamy Temple, Kulaiyanery, Veerakeralam Pudur Taluk, Tenkasi District. With regard to the right of the said temple, the third respondent filed a suit in O.S.No.96 of 2019, before the District Munsif Court, Tenkasi. Since the third respondent making problems, the second respondent did not grant permission to conduct the temple festival. Hence this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Counsel appearing for the third respondent submitted that the third respondent is ready to co-operate for conducting the temple festival in a peaceful manner. Further, he pleaded that the third respondent may be permitted to worship at the temple on 11.08.2022 and 12.08.2022 and the said temple should be opened for all to worship the God. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that both the parties amicably settled the issue.

5.Recording the same, the following directions are issued: i)It is ordered that Pooja shall be conducted by both parties on 11.08.2022 and 12.08.2022.

ii)The first respondent police shall ensure law and order is maintained since police picketing is also arranged in the place. iii)Both parties shall follow the Covid-19 protocol that is issued by the Government during such Poojas.

iv)If any untoward incident is noticed, the first respondent police shall evict the parties from the place immediately and take action. 3/5

6.With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
