ORDER
The petitioner is claiming to be the wife of one Periyannan. The petitioner, with a grievance that without her knowledge, the 3rd respondent buried the body of her husband, has lodged a complaint to the respondent Police to register a case as against the 3rd respondent for the offence under Section 302 IPC and also moved this petition.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that the 3rd respondent is the first wife of the said Periyannan and the petitioner is the second wife. The said Periyannan was admitted in Ramya Hospital, Madurai, from 26.02.2025 to 04.03.2025 for certain ailment and for want of money, he was discharged from the said Hospital. Thereafter, he was taken to Sivagangai Government Medical College Hospital, where, he died on 13.03.2025 and the 3rd respondent had also buried the body of her husband. Therefore, the petitioner, who is 2/4
claiming to be the second wife of the said Periyannan, lodged a complaint as against the 3rd respondent. He further submits that the petitioner's complaint was enquired by the respondent Police in CSR No. 351 of 2025 and the same was closed. He has also produced a death certificate issued by the Government Medical College Hospital, Sivagangai.
3. Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. The respondent Police shall furnish a copy of the closure report to the petitioner, enabling her to workout her remedy in the manner known to law. 23.06.2025 Index : Yes / No.
