Respondents Prayer: The petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to receive from the petitioner's application and register "Narpavalakkodi Eri Neer Pasana Sangam" in Narpavalakkodi Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

The prayer sought for in this Writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to receive the petitioner's application and register "Narpavalakkodi Eri Neer Pasana Sangam" at Narpavalakkodi Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Heard Mr.R.P.Ramachanthiran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that in the very same name as claimed by the petitioner there is already a Sangam registered and a registration certificate to that effect has been given by the Registrar concerned on 26.07.2019 in the name of "Narpavalakkodi Eri Neer Pasana Sangam" at Narpavalakudi. Therefore, in the very same name one more Society cannot be registered and if at all the petitioner wants to register his Society in any other name, the alternative name can also be suggested and accordingly, a fresh application can be given to the 4th respondent and on such submission of the alternative name and application to that effect from the petitioner, the same would be considered by the Registrar and needful would be done in accordance with law.

4.Recording the same, this Writ petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh application with alternative name to the respondents.

5.In view of the order passed in the Writ petition, the amendment petition in W.M.P.(MD)No.14681 of 2019 is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.(MD)No.13698 of 2019 is closed.
