O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the lands in Survey Nos.366/9 and 372/3, measuring an extent of 1.22 acre in Ambathurai Village, Authoor Taluk, Dindigul District, based on his application dated 07.11.2022.

The petitioner has approached the second respondent for issuing patta in favour of him for the lands in Survey Nos. 366/9 and 372/3, measuring an extent of 1.22 acre in Ambathurai Village, Authoor Taluk, Dindigul District. However, the second respondent has not issued the patta. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/5

When this Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the application of the petitioner for grant of patta was already considered by the second respondent and the order has been passed in favour of him as early as on 20.12.2022. However, as against the order passed by the second respondent, the vendor of sister of the writ petitioner, namely, Vedavalli, has preferred an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul and the same is still pending. In view of the appeal preferred by the said Vedavalli, the second respondent has not proceeded further to issue patta in favour of the petitioner.
4. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court suo motu impleads the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul and directs the learned Additional Government Pleader to take notice for the newly impleaded respondent.

This Writ Petition is disposed of by giving a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul, to dispose of the appeal preferred by the said Vedavalli within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On the outcome of the decision by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul, the second respondent shall pass appropriate orders within a period of three weeks from thereon. There shall be no order as to costs.
