This is a writ of mandamus seeking direction to the second respondent to reconnect the water supply to the petitioner's house vide connection No.1800 situated at No.5C2A, Ramathevar Street, Usilampatti, Madurai by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 22.10.2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that the water connection provided to the petitioner's house was disconnected without her knowledge and consent on 13.10.2016, when she had been to Kerala to visit his father. It is also stated that no reasons whatsoever has been given to the petitioner for disconnection. Alleging that the disconnection is illegal and unwarranted, the petitioner has sought for re-connection.

4.Under such circumstances, the second respondent, as a competent authority, is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.10.2016 and to pass orders, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
