The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct cultural event namely "Sree Valli Thirumanam Drama" on 02.11.2016, "Thevar Jeyanthi Festival" at Kilankattur, A.Nedunkulam, Keelamelkudi, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District with adequate police protection by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.10.2016.

2. Mr.K.P.Krishna Doss, learned Government Advoacate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner dated 24.10.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably on or before 31.10.2016.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
