ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 18.10.2016.

2.Heard Mr.M.Sankar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1, 2 and 6. Since this Court is not going to pass any adverse order against the respondents https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3, 4 and 5, notice to them is dispensed with. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.According to the petitioner, she has sent representation to the second respondent to grant patta in her favour. Since no action has been taken so far, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Admittedly, the petitioner's is only a tenant and her name was recorded as cultivating tenant for the property in question by the Tahsildar, Madurai North Taluk, by proceedings dated 03.12.2009 and therefore, she cannot seek patta for the above said property. Accordingly, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Consequently, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
