Respondent Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant patta in respect of New Survey No. 502/18B3 admeasuring an extent of 0.99.50 ares of Punja land situated in Balakuruchi Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District which has been covered under the registered will dated 23.06.2022 vide Document No. 111 of 2022 on the file of the Thuvarankuruchi Sub Registrar executed in favour of the petitioner by his grandfather by considering the online application for patta transfer dated 26.02.2024 and subsequent representation dated 14.03.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner seeks issuance of patta. Representation has also been given in this regard.

3.The respondent is directed to consider the petition mentioned representation and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondent will put all the interested parties on notice before passing final order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the respondent to pass order one way or the other.

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
