ORDER

This petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to give permission and police protection to conduct Sevvai-Soru Eduthu Pongal Festival in the Tamil month of Ippasi.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate would submit that in the peace committee meeting conducted by the fourth respondent on 17.10.2016, the mater could not be amicably settled between the parties and now the matter is pending before the third respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Aruppukkottai-Revenue Division, Virudhunagar District.

3. Considering the representation and also the facts of this case, the third respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 04.06.2016, 14.10.2016 and 18.10.2016 and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible, after giving opportunity to the necessary parties, on merits and in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
