This writ petition is filed to direct the first respondent to grant 15 days emergency leave without police escort to the petitioner's husband namely Chinnadurai, S/o.Muruggaiya, Life Convict Prisoner, PID No.161930 confined at Central Prison, Trichy for attending the serious illness of his father namely Mr.Muruggaiya, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2025. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.05.2025 has been considered and the same has been rejected by the Superintendent of Prison, Trichy, vide order dated 20.06.2025.
