O R D E R

This Contempt petition has been filed alleging disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.113 of 2021, dated 02.02.2021. 2.The Writ Petition was filed challenging the notice issued by the respondent herein, dated 25.11.2020. The writ petition was dismissed by this Court stating that the respondent herein has no power to initiate the proceedings under Section 13 of the Patta Passbook Act and the District Revenue Officer is competent exercise the jurisdiction and nothing was stated on the merits of the matter.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent herein had produced the proceedings of the respondent in Na.Ka.A1/7142/2020, dated 18.10.2022. It is stated in the proceedings that the report on the enquiry conducted on 24.04.2021 has been forwarded to the District Collector in view of the order passed by this Court in the writ petition.

4.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court directs the competent authority / District Collector to consider the report filed by the Revenue Divisional Officer and pass appropriate orders on the same. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. It is needless to mention here that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the order to be passed by the competent authority, it is always open to the petitioner to workout the same in the manner known to law.
