ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to complete the proceeding pending before him in Na.Ka.No.3432/2019 within a period stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.A.Arun Prasad, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

4.The petitioner, in order to get birth certificate, has made a request to the 1st respondent sometime in June 2019 and in this regard, necessary particulars claimed to have been submitted along with the said application and all that, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, if the said application filed before the 1st respondent is decided on merits, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, the petitioner would be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

5.However, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that, there is no date mentioned in the application and no proof to show that the said representation has been given. Anyhow, since the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.3432/2019 has been mentioned, based on which, they will verify whether any such application is filed by the petitioner and if so, the same would be decided on merits and dispose of the same, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

6.Having regard to the said submission made by both sides, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following direction:

"The 1st respondent is hereby directed to consider the application of the petitioner made in June 2019 with regard to the registration of birth of the petitioner in Na.Ka.No.3432/19 and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

7.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
