Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned order No.TCN:LPG:CON:IMP:ERVADI dated 11.08.2016 passed by the respondent as well as the impugned Advertisement/Notification issued by the respondent published in Dinathanthi Tamil Newspaper dated 31.10.2016, calling for fresh draw on 03.11.2016 for selection of IMP/LPG distributors in respect of column No.3, Eruvadi alone and quash the same and consequently, directing the respondent not to proceed with the draw and further direct the respondent to issue the letter of confirmation to the petitioner for the IMP/LPG distributors at Eruvadi for OBC category under the marketing scheme 2013-2014. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for respondent.

2. The petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the respondent rejecting petitioner's application for allotment of LPG Distribution at Ervadi, Tirunelveli District.

3. According to the petitioner, he applied for the Distributorship on 15.10.2013. Thereafter, a draw was conducted and on 14.02.2014, he was declared as selected candidate. But subsequently, it was found that on the last date of submission of application, he did not have closing bank balance as required https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

under Clause (vi) of the terms and conditions and hence, his candidature was rejected. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

4. Admittedly on the last date of submission of application, the petitioner did not have the minimum required balance of Rs.10,00,000/- in his bank account. The learned counsel for the petitioner also fairly admitted the same.

5. In view of the above, there is no infirmity in the order of the respondent. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No Costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also dismissed.
