9679 of 2021 dated 22/07/2021 Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of MR.R.RAJASELVAN, Advocate for the petitioners and of MR.P.KOTTAI CHAMY, Government Advocate(crl.side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed to extend the time to comply with the condition imposed in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.9679 of 2021, dated 22.07.2021.

CRL MP(MD) No.7475 of 2021 2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners were granted anticipatory bail by this Court vide order 22.07.2021. Since the petitioners are relatives and friends and due to the pandemic situation, the petitioners could not arrange sureties. He further submitted that on 02.08.2021, the petitioners filed a modification petition in Crl.M.P.(MD)No.5966 of 2021 in Crl.O.P(MD)No.9679 of 2021 and the same was 'dismissed for default' on 03.09.2021 and the said order copy despatched only on 14.09.2021. Hence, the time stipulated by this Court for producing sureties before concerned Court got lapsed. Therefore, they filed a petition seeking extension of time for two weeks for producing sureties. 3.This Court is not satisfied with the reasons assigned in the petition. Therefore, this petition is dismissed, however, liberty is given to the petitioner to file a fresh application for anticipatory bail, if so advised.
