Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents Nos. 1 to 7 to forebear the "Kallar Nadu Arakattalai" i.e Respondents Nos. 8 to 11 and their men agents from conducting any festival at Karumathur Kottaimanthai Periyakaruppur Kovil, Kottaiyur Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents Nos. 1 to 7 to forebear the Respondents Nos 8 to 11 and their men agents i.e "Kallar Nadu Arakattalai" from conducting any festival at Karumathur Kottaimanthai Periyakaruppur Kovil, Kottaiyur Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State, on instructions, submitted that now a Peace Committee Meeting has been conducted by the Tahsildar and, it is pending. In the above circumstances, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted at this stage and the same stands dismissed accordingly. However, the petitioner is directed to appear in the Peace Committee Meeting, before the Tahsildar, Usilampatti, Madurai District and ventilate his grievance. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
