The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the Detention Order No. 67/2024 dated 27.06.2024 passed by the 2nd respondent on petitioners son namely Alagarsamy S/o Karuppan aged 19 years has been detained and branded as Goondas under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot Legger, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act 1982 (Tamil Nadu) Act 14/1982 and confined at Central Prison, Madurai, Madurai District and set aside the same and set the detenu at liberty.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.5796, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 22.08.2024, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked by the Government. 2/4
3. In view of the same, nothing survives for further adjudication. This Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
