ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.V.Muruganandham, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the first respondent.
2.Since no adverse order prejudicial to the interest of the respondents 2 to 7 is going to be passed, notice to the respondents 2 to 7 is dispensed with.
3.The petitioners said to have filed an appeal before the first respondent against issuing patta in favour of the respondents 2 to 7 herein under UDR scheme on 30.09.2015. Thereafter, the first respondent issued notice to all the parties https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to appear for an enquiry on 15.04.2016. On that day, the petitioners appeared for the enquiry, thereafter, enquiry was adjourned. Subsequently, no enquiry was conducted by the first respondent and the matter is still pending with the first respondent. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition.
4.In the above circumstances, taking into consideration of the fact that the petitioners' appeal is pending with the first respondent for a long time, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' appeal and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the petitioner as well as to the rival claimants, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
