Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner said to have filed an application before the respondent to issue joint patta in respect of Survey No.461/14, Siruthandanallur Village, Srivaikungam Taluk, Thoothukudi District. The above application was filed on 23.10.2016 and the same is pending. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 4.In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 23.10.2016 and pass appropriate orders, after issuing notice to the rival claimants, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
