Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta in favour of him pertaining to the property situated at Sivagangai District, Karaikudi Taluk, Kallal Union, Palavankudi Panchayat, Aranmanaipatti Group, Sengani Village in S.F.No.166, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

measuring to an extent of 12 1⁄2 acre lands, in the light of his application, dated 19.09.2016, within a stipulated time.

4. According to the petitioner, he purchased the subject property from one Muthu @ Sekkan on 29.04.2010 through an un-registered sale deed. Subsequently, he filed an application before the second respondent for grant of patta in his favour. Since, no order has been passed so far, he has filed this Writ Petition.

5. In the above circumstances, the second respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 19.09.2016 and pass suitable orders on the same, for grant of patta, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the parties concerned. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
