ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.1,88,639/- as 2/7

reimbursement for medical expenses of the petitioner's husband Wilson Gnanadhas, who underwent medical treatment for a period from 14.06.2022 to 16.06.2022 by considering the petitioner's application dated 29.06.2022 following the reminder representation, dated 29.05.2024.

2. Heard Mr.R.Murugan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Ramesh Arumugam, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.A.Shajahan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the fourth respondent.

3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The case of the petitioner is that on 14.06.2022 her husband Wilson Gnandhas had suffered with severe low back ache, left lower limb and admitted as an inpatient in S.P.Fort Hospital, Trivandraum from 14.06.2022 to 16.06.2022 and a sum of Rs.1,88,639/- towards medical expenditure was incurred for treatment. Thereafter, the 3/7

petitioner requested for reimbursement and the same was forwarded to the fourth respondent. After receipt of the claim application, the fourth respondent requested to furnish some additional documents in order to process the claim application. Subsequently, the petitioner has also furnished additional documents through proper channel. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted reminder representation dated 29.05.2024 to the respondents. So far no order has been passed and hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.05.2024 would be considered by the respondents within a time frame fixed by this Court.

6. In the light of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondents herein to pass final orders in the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.05.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not 4/7

gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.

7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
