PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned award passed by the Labour Court, Tirunelveli, in I.D.No.72 of 2018, order dated 14.10.2022 and quash the same.

ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed by the Management of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation challenging the award of the Labour Court, Tirunelveli, in I.D.No.72 of 2018, dated 14.10.2022, wherein the order of the Management regularising the suspension period as eligible leave period has been set aside.
2.This Court in W.P.(MD)No.6668 of 2022, has already arrived at a finding that the labour Court has rightly set aside the punishment imposed by the Management upon the delinquent Driver. In such circumstances, suspension period should always be treated as a duty period. 3.In view of the above said deliberations, there are no merits in the Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. 13.08.2025 2/2 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No RJR 2/3
