ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed challenging the FIR in Crime No.601 of 2017 which was pending on the file of the first respondent police station.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that First Information Report in Crime No.601 of 2017 which was pending before the first respondent police was already closed as action dropped in on 21.05.2018.

3. Since the FIR has already been closed, the very purpose for which the petition has been filed becomes infructuous. This Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.

4. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that even after closure of FIR in Crime No.601 of 2015, his name is still found in the website, as one of the accused in Crime No.601 of 2017, and that he is competing for civil service examination, mentioning the name of the 2/4

petitioner as one of the accused in the above crime, likely to affect his career.

5. Considering the same, the respondent police are directed to see that the name of the petitioner is deleted from the website in respect to the Crime No.601 of 2017.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed. 05.07.2023 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No pnn 3/4
