O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Trial cases registered under SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989, Ramanathapuram to expedite the trial in Spl.C.C.No.74 of 2019, within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner reiterated the contentions set out in the original petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner is the sole accused in this case. There are totally 17 witnesses and the case is posted on 06.01.2021 for cross examination of PW 1 and PW 2.

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 & 2. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

Crl.O.P(MD)No.14925 of 2020 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Trial of Cases registered under SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989, Ramanathapuram is hereby directed to dispose of the case in Special S.C.No.74 of 2019, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
