Common Prayer in WP(MD)Nos.21237 to 21242 of 2016: Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 17.10.2016 to measure the land for sub-Division and to issue patta to the petitioner's land in Survey No.131/3C in Alagapuri, Valanadu Village, Marungapurai Taluk, Trichy District, for an extent of 3 cents.

2. By consent, the Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal.

3. According to the petitioners, all of them purchased a land from one Karuppayee and thereafter, they have been in possession and enjoyment of the property. Subsequent to the said purchase, they have filed an application, on 27.09.2016, before the second respondent to measure the land and also to issue separate patta based on their sale deeds and they have also paid necessary fee for the same. Since no order has been passed, they have sent a representation on 17.10.2016. Even then, no action has been taken by the second respondent. Hence, they have filed these Writ Petitions.

4. Taking into consideration that the representation of the petitioners, dated 17.10.2016, for measuring the land and also to issue separate patta, is pending with the second respondent, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 17.10.2016 and pass suitable orders on the same based on the title deeds and other revenue records, after giving notice to the petitioners as well as the rival claimants if any and the previous land owner Karuppayee. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No Costs.
