ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent to prevent the respondents 2 to 4 from conducting any meeting including Annual General Body Meeting to be conducted on 06.11.2016 as if they are office bearers of Madurai District Cricket Association and also to take appropriate action against the respondents 2 to 4 for their illegal activities. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.Heard Mr.A.Jayaramachandran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Anandaraj, learned Government Advocate

appearing for the first respondent. Since this Court is not going to pass any adverse order against the respondents 2 to 4, notice to them is dispensed with.

3.According to the petitioner, the respondents 2 to 4 are going to conduct Annual General Body Meeting as if they are office bearers of Madurai District Cricket Association and therefore, he has submitted a representation dated 24.10.2016 before the first respondent. Since no order has been passed so far, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5.Admittedly, there were two rival groups in the association and civil suits are also pending with regard to the election conducted by them. Therefore, if at all the petitioner has any grievance over the above said meeting, the petitioner cannot challenge the same, by filing this writ petition. The appropriate remedy available to the petitioner is to approach the competent civil forum for the above said relief. Hence, the writ petition is not maintainable and accordingly, it is dismissed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the competent forum to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P(MD)No.15188 of 2016 is closed.
