ORDER
This petition has been filed to direct the Additional Mahila Court (JM Level), Madurai to expedite the trial in CC No.22 of 2016, within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) for the official respondent.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that based on the complaint given by the second respondent, a case was registered against the petitioner herein and 6 others for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 498 A, 294(b), 506(ii) IPC in CC No.22 of 2016, on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, (JM level), Madurai. According to the petitioner, during the pendency of the case, A6 died. Thereafter, charges were framed against the rest of the accused and the case was posted on 27.03.2020 for chief examination of PW 1. Due to COVID -19 pandemic, there was no further progress in the case. Hence, the petitioner would pray for earlier disposal of the case.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the official respondent would state that the trial of the case has already been commenced.
5. On perusal of the records shows that the above case is of the year 2016 and there is no progress after 27.03.2020. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Judge, Additional Mahila Court, (JM level) Madurai is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.22 of 2016, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
