Respondents Prayer :- Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned list issued by the 2nd respondent in his proceedings NIL dated 31.07.2022 and quash the same as illegal in so far as non inclusion of the petitioners name is concerned and consequently to direct the respondents to select the appoint the petitioner to the post of Lecturer (Mechanical Engineering) taking into consideration of the petitioners qualification and the marks secured in the examination within the period that may be stipulated by this Honble Court.
ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. M. Ajmal Khan Senior Counsel For M/s. Ajmal Associates, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. N. Satheesh Kumar, Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1,4 and 5,and Mr. V.R. Shanmuganathan, Standing Counsel fro the 2nd and 3rd Respondents, this Court made the following order: "This Court by an order dated 07.08.
committee to find out whether the post graduate qualification acquired by the writ petitioner in Industrial Engineering is equivalent to Mechanical Engineering. 2.Today, when the matter is listed under the caption "for being mentioned" and it is brought to the notice of the Court that already the Higher Education department has considered the equivalence between these two subjects and has passed the Government order in G.O.Ms.No.270, Higher Education(J1) department dated 03.12.2019. The Resolution No.286 of the said Government order reveals that the equivalence committee has approved all the nomenclature of PG degree as per All India Council for Technical Education, Notification F.No.27/RIFD/Pay/01/2017-2018, dated 28.04.2017. 3.In the above said facts, the order passed by this Court on 07.08.2024, referring the issue to the equivalence committee is hereby recalled.
