ORDER
This writ petition has been filed directing the 1st respondent to consider petitioner's appeal dated 23.03.2016 and pass appropriate order within a stipulated period. 2.According to the petitioner, he is said to have filed an appeal before the first respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai, against the order passed by the second respondent herein/Tahsildar, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District to grant patta in his favour and the same is pending. Sofar, no order has been passed. Hence, she has filed the present writ petition. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that since the land is erroneously classified as 'Sarkar Porombusal Tharisu' under the UDR scheme, the District Revenue Officer is the competent authority to dispose of the matter. Hence, the first respondent has already referred https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the matter to the District Revenue Officer, Madurai and the same is pending.
4.In view of the above submission, the District Revenue Officer, Madurai is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 23.03.2016 and pass orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as rival claimant viz., Tamilselvi, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
