ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner for peaceful living and enjoyment of property by considering his representation dated 11.05.2026.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that a case and a counter case have been registered against the petitioner and the third respondent, with regard to the property dispute.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the third respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent police is directed to issue notices to both the petitioner and the third respondent under Section 64 of the BNSS, conduct an enquiry, and conclude the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Upon conclusion of the enquiry, if it is found necessary that the petitioner be provided with adequate protection, the second respondent police shall afford appropriate police protection to the petitioner, subject to payment of the requisite charges, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.139, Home (Pol-VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. 09.06.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No sm 3/4
