Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.According to the petitioner, after the demise of his mother, he filed an application before the third respondent, on 19.08.2016, to issue a legal heir certificate. But the third respondent did not take any action so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

4.In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the third respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 19.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
