This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to conduct further investigation of the case in C.C.No.19 of 2020 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate - IV, Thoothukudi in Cr.No.20 of 2019 on the file of the 1st respondent, by some other investigation officer and file a charge sheet afresh.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the first respondent Police has not conducted proper investigation regarding the complaints given by the petitioners and other victims and hence, he seeks direction to conduct further investigation of the case in C.C.No.19 of 2020 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate - IV, Thoothukudi in Cr.No.20 of 2019 on the file of the 1st respondent, by some other investigation officer and file a charge sheet afresh.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent Police submitted that based on the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD).No.2362 of 2020 all the connected FIRs in Crime Nos.3 to 5 are merged together by the 2nd respondent Police and they are going to examine further witness and file additional charge sheet.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
