Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioners' dated 16.02.2016 for modification of entries in the patta in the name of the petitioners in the light of Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.According to the petitioners, they have filed an application before the respondent on 16.02.2016 for modification of entries in the patta. But the respondent did not take any action so far. of the petitioners, dated 16.02.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance in law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
