ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Anand Raj, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issue of a writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2015 for compassionate appointment in any of the available posts in the respondent department.

3.The petitioner's mother who was working as a sanitary worker died in harness way back on 08.04.2010. Hence, she applied for appointment on compassionate grounds on 11.02.2011. Since there was response from the respondents, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 21.11.2015 before the respondents. According to the petitioner, no order has been passed so far. 4.Considering the above facts and circumstances and without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, this Court only directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2015 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
