This Civil Revision Petition is preferred by the petitioner for early disposal of D.V.C.No.124 of 2014 pending on the file of the Additional Mahila Court cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Madurai, within a period to be fixed by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, she filed Domestic Violence Case before the Additional Mahila Court cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Madurai in D.V.C.No.124 of 2014 and though the petition was filed in the year 2014, the evidence of the petitioner was alone recorded and till date, she was not crossexamined on the side of the respondent. It is submitted that the respondent continuously remained absent in the proceedings and therefore, D.V.C. is being dragged on without any progress, due to which, the petitioner is facing great hardship.

3. On perusal of the records, it is seen that the D.V.C. proceedings was initiated in the year 2014 and till date, the case is posted for cross-examination of P.W.1 and the Court is adjourning the case without recording any valid reasons for adjournment.

4. Therefore, considering the above circumstances, the Additional Mahila Court cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Madurai is directed to dispose of D.V.C.No.124 of 2014, without giving any unnecessary adjournments, expeditiously, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
