Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to pay the General Provident Fund amount of the husband of the petitioner namely K.Muralidharan deposited by the first respondent with the second respondent bank amount to Rs.23,049/- and fixed deposit amount made with the third respondent amounting to Rs.95,993/- herein together with interest from the date of deposit till the date of realization to the petitioner.

ORDER

The petitioner's husband was employed in the first respondent temple. He passed away on 19.05.2015. The provident fund amount payable in that regard have been deposited by the first respondent with the second respondent bank and the third respondent bank. The second respondent bank had handed over the moneys deposited by the first respondent to the first respondent themselves. At present, a sum of Rs.57,791/- returned by the second respondent is lying with the first respondent.

2.According to the learned standing counsel appearing for the first respondent, the petitioner has been intimated to approach the first respondent for getting back the said amount. The first respondent submits that as and when the petitioner approaches the first respondent, the said amount will be handed over to her upon production of requisite documents.

3.The said submission is recorded. The learned standing counsel for the respondent would further submit that a sum of Rs.95,993/- has been deposited by the first respondent with the third respondent. The first respondent shall inform the third respondent to release the same to the petitioner. It is for the petitioner to approach the third respondent to obtain the said sum. As and when the petitioner approaches the third respondent with the necessary documents, the third respondent shall also release the said amount to the petitioner without any delay. 4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
