O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ petition has been instituted to direct the District Collector to dispose of the Statutory Appeal filed by the writ petitioner on 17.06.2025.
2. The petitioner has not even given breathing time to the statutory authority to look into the Appeal. Such writ petitions filed soon after filing statutory appeal are not entertainable. The District Collector is already having several other duties and therefore, the statutory appeals are sought to be disposed of in a systematic manner and by considering the seniority of the filing date as well as there may be several other appeals which all are pending before the District Collector for disposal. Such appeals are to be decided considering various factors including the exigencies. Therefore, High Court is not expected to issue a routine 2/4
direction to the appellate authorities to dispose of the appeal. It is for the authority concerned to regulate the works on its board. 3.Thus, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. However, the District Collector is requested to regulate the pending statutory appeals and dispose of it systematically so as to avoid unnecessary long delay in disposing such statutory appeals.
4. With the above observations, this writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
