ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.It is not in dispute that S.No.354/1 has been classified as water body. Even as on date, the revenue record reflects its character as such. We direct the authorities to maintain the character of S.No.354/1 as it for all times to come.

3.However, S.No.354/2 has been classified as a patta land during UDR. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed revision before the District Revenue Officer and the same is pending in File No.D3/24534/2021. We direct the District Revenue Officer, Pudukottai 2/6

to dispose of the said application on merits in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Before passing final order, the District Revenue Officer, Pudukkottai shall put all the interested persons on notice. If any encroachment is found in S.No.354/2, it shall be removed by adhering to statutory procedures. We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter.
