This Writ of Mandamus has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground in the place of the deceased employee K.Thiravidamani conductor staff No.98CR0156, Peravurani Branch of the respondents 1 & 2 herein, pursuant to the representation dated 29.09.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
3.The petitioner's father was working as a Conductor in the respondents Corporation and he died in harness on 09.06.2014, leaving behind him the petitioner's mother and his two brothers as his legal heirs. At the time of the death of the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
father his legal heirs did not possess sufficient qualification to get job on compassionate ground. The petitioner having qualified a pass of 10th standard, made a request to the respondents, seeking appointment on compassionate ground and as per the instruction of the respondents, the petitioner has submitted the representation dated 29.09.2016, after getting consent from the other legal heirs. As the same has not been considered so far, this writ petition has been filed.
4.The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered by the respondents within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5.Accordingly, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.09.2016 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The Writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
