ORDER

The petitioner had filed an application before the second respondent under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. An order came to be passed by the second respondent on 22.01.2024. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the first respondent on 05.11.2024. However, the same has not been considered, till date.

2. Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2 and after dispensing with the notice to the third respondent, who is none other than the son of the petitioner and considering the age of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to dispose of this Writ Petition at the time of admission by directing the first respondent to number the appeal filed by the petitioner on 05.11.2024 against 2/4

the order, dated 22.01.2024 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, after due notice to the third respondent as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
