ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed as against the respondent for non complying with the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.6788 of 2020, dated 09.04.2021.

2.Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court vide order dated 09.04.2021 directed the respondent to re-scrutinise the petitioner's candidature to the post of Gr II Police Constable in the Common Recruitment Process-2019 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. He further submits that though this Court directed the respondent to reconsider the petitioner's candidature for common recruitment process -2019, the direction of this Court has not been complied with till date. 3.Today, when the matter has been taken up for hearing the learned Additional Advocate General assisted by the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent produced a copy of the proceedings of the Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District in C.No.A2(1)/25169/2021, dated 27.09.

2021 and submitted that the respondent has re-considered the case of the petitioner based on the various guidelines issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court and this Court from time to time and the relevant rules and found the petitioner not eligible for appointment to the post of Gr.II police https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

Cont.P(MD)No.1333 of 2021 constable. Further a copy of this proceedings is also received by the petitioner.

4.In view of the above submission and also in view of the proceedings of the respondent in C.No.A2(1)/25169/2021, dated 27.09.2021, this contempt petition stands closed.
