Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the order passed by the respondent through his proceedings in O.MU.A2/4925/2022, dated 01.08.2022 and to quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondent to issue patta to the petitioner land in S.No.411/14 situate at T.Kallikudi Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District.

As against the order of the Tahsildar, Lalkudi dated 01.08.2022, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 2.By the order impugned in this writ petition, the Tahsildar has rejected the request of the petitioner for grant of patta for the Natham land in Survey No.411/14 to an extent of 00787 sq.mtr that the land is classified as vacant land as per the Natham Settlement. 3.The petitioner claims title by way of a sale deed and also on the basis of 'Adangal' in his favour. The learned counsel has also relied on the Certificate issued by the Village Administrative Officer. 4.Since the petitioner's request for grant of patta has been rejected, this writ petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal under the Patta Pass Book Act before the Revenue 2/4
Divisional Officer concerned, challenging the order of Tahsildar or the petitioner shall approach the competent civil Court. No costs. 03.07.2023 NCC : Yes / No.
