respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner with respect to the properties situated in Ramanadapuram District, Paramakudi Taluk, Kalaiyur Village, S.No. 213/3 admeasuring an extent of Acre 1.20 cents and S.No.229/3 admeasuring an extent Acre 0.40 cents.

O R D E R

The petitioner challenges the order of the Tahsildar dated 19.02.2024, rejecting the application for transfer of patta assigning reason for rejection as 'No'. The petitioner has not been given opportunity to present his case. No enquiry has also been conducted before the impugned order came to be passed.

2.On this limited ground, I am inclined to set aside the impugned order and remit the matter to the third respondent for fresh consideration of the petitioner's application, on merits and in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be carried out within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands allowed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
