This Writ Petition has been filed as against the order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 24.06.2024, rejecting the petitioner's request to conduct adal padal program. The petitioner also sought permission to conduct the programme on 27.07.2024 to 28.07.2024 in the event of Arulmigu Maari Amman Kovil Temple situated in Koothanoor, Virakkan, Thiruvidaimarudur Taluk, Thanjavur District.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instruction from the respondent police submits that there are two groups in the village and there is a possibility of law and order problem. He further submits that the respondent police initiated proceedings under Section 107 of Cr.P.C., as against both the groups.
3. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional 2/4
Public Prosecutor, this Court is not inclined to entertain this application. Moreover, the date for which the permission sought for was already over.
