ORDER

The writ petitioner's husband died on 20.04.2016 when he was doing manual scavenging. He belongs to SC (A) Community. In this regard, Crime No.58 of 2016 has been registered on the file of the Kadaladi Police Station, Ramanathapuram District. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the writ petitioner was already given Rs.3.00 Lakhs as compensation as per the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court reported in 2014 (3) CTC 177 (Safai Karamchari Andolan vs. Union of India). A sum of Rs.10.00 lakhs has to be given to the writ petitioner as compensation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Therefore, the second respondent is directed to disburse the balance amount to the petitioner within a period of eights weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is allowed. No costs.
