PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to lay cement road or inter locking Paver Block road on the said street situated to the back side of EB Office of V.K.Pudur on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 05.06.2025.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ Petition has been instituted to direct the respondents to lay cement road or inter locking Paver Block road on the said street situated to the back side of EB Office of V.K.Pudur on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 05.06.2025.

2. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the subject layout is unapproved and the roads and common areas are not gifted to the local bodies. Unless the roads are gifted to the local bodies, they may not be in a position to provide all amenities and basic facilities to the people residing in that locality.

3. Since it is an unapproved layout, the relief as such sought for cannot be considered by this Court. However, the petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate steps to hand over the roads to the local body concerned.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
