O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to give promotion to the petitioner temporarily for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer/Civil before when her junior promotion effected and pay all other monitory and service benefits.

2. According to the petitioner, she made a representation dated 23.08.2021, to the first respondent seeking to consider her request for promotion temporarily in the light of Regulation No.106(c) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations. However, the same is still pending and no order has been passed on the said representation.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if there is a direction to the first https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

WP(MD) No.17215 of 2021 respondent to dispose the representation of the petitioner dated 23.08.2021.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in the light of the regulations of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations.

5. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.08.2021, on its own merits and in accordance with law as early as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
