This Petition is filed to condone the delay of 533 days in preferring the above Civil Miscellaneous Appeal.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioners and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent has no objection to allow this petition.

4.Though the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition is not satisfied, however, in order to give an opportunity to the claimants to challenge the award passed by the learned Special District Court to deal with Motor Accidents Cases, Madurai, in M.C.O.P.No.1411 of 2019, dated 17.08.2023, we are inclined to allow this petition.

5. Accordingly, this petition is allowed and the delay is condoned. However, the petitioners / claimants are not entitled to interest during the delay period.

6. Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order and post the appeal for final hearing in the usual course. 17.10.2025 vsg 2/3
