ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition, seeking a direction, directing the respondents to grant patta for petitioner's house site situated in Natham Puramboku land, Survey No. 236/4 an extent of 21⁄2 cents situated at Pillayar Koil street, Mela Maruthuvakkudi, Aduthurai- 612101, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanjavur District, by considering petitioner's representation dated 16.10.2015.

According to the petitioner, he has been in possession of a Natham Poromboke land to an extent of 21⁄2 cents in Survey No. 236/4, situated at Pillayar Koil street, Melamaruthuvakudi, Aduthurai for a period of forty years, by putting up a thatched roof house. been assessed to property tax. The petitioner is also having Ration Card, Voter's ID Card and electricity service connection in his name. While that being so, on 16.10.2015, he made an application before the second respondent for issuance of patta. Sofar, no order has been passed in his application. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, who would submit, on instructions that the petitioner's application would be considered, within a time limit prescribed by this Court.

4.Since the petitioner's application is pending from 16.10.2015, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 16.10.2015 and pass suitable orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
