PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue assignment pata in the petitioners name for the land in Survey No.193/2 to the extent of 1 acre 2 cents, Perungudi Village, Madurai District by disposing the petitioner's application before the 2nd respondent on 03.12.2021 within stipulated time. ORDER

By this writ petition, the petitioner prayed for a direction to consider his representation for grant of an assignment patta.

At today's hearing, learned Special Government Pleader has placed on record the order dated 12.09.2025 rejecting the petitioner's request on the ground that the relevant land is required for the Airport. 3.In view thereof, this writ petition has been rendered infructuous and is dismissed by leaving it open to the petitioner to challenge the above mentioned order. No costs.
